Health & Care
Our Health & Social Care courses offer an introduction to the industry where you will develop an understanding of the health and childcare professions, and explore many health and social care related topics including mental health, inclusion, equality, individual rights and needs, and healthy living.
Our courses:
- Enable learners to gain the knowledge, understanding and skills required for further training, employment and/or career progression in the sector
- Provide opportunities for the development of transferable skills

Our Level 2 course develops and expands on the knowledge and skills gained at Level 1, to include additional topics such as:

- Individual needs in Health and Social Care
- Ensuring safe environments in Health and Social Care
- Cultural diversity in Health and Social Care
- Anatomy and physiology for Health and Social Care
- Creative therapeutic activities in Health and Social Care
- The impact of diet on health
- Introduction to learning disability
- Introduction to physical disability
- Introduction to dementia
- Introduction to mental health
- Healthy lifestyle
- Health and social care services
Possible job roles available after gaining a Health & Social Care qualification include:

In addition to the main vocational qualification, learners will be required to study English and Maths (if they need it), and also do citizenship, employability, enrichment and work placement, in line with our Study Programme model.
